In a civilization based on change, it's becoming more and more difficult for individuals to come across something to lean on. This »throwness-into-the-world« becomes even more cruel when we realise even values have lost their fundament and have become like the goods in a supermarket where everyone only takes what they want. The loss of a centre that could provide people with a basis is also apparent in architecture. Gone are the times of Archimedes who could still say »give me a place to stand on and I will move the Earth«. The perfect stability and ostensible eternity of the pyramids have been replaced by skyscrapers, impossibly and illusively piercing the sky in a seeming attempt to negate or subvert the laws of physics. The contrast between the past solidity and immutability and the constant changes and apparent fragility of today form the basis of the present exhibition.

»Solid« is used in the architectural sense of desired quality of material, design and construction, and therefore the foundations. To an artist, the gallery space presents a basis for exploration/discovery of foundations, balance and solidity. Exploration happens at various levels that are reflected in the material, the form and the concept.
Through time and space, human living and cultural changes have transformed the foundations of society. Elements that used to be constitutive to human living have become valueless and have lost their original place and therefore their firm basis, becoming »un-solid«. The authors enter their investigation of relationships and transformations of meaning in the contemporary social reality through various explorations and by linking/communicating through different media, concepts and materials, exploring the space and architectural forms that are undoubtedly woven into an individual's physical and mental space.
